The Challenge

The large span roof of a new Days Hotel at London Stansted required a high capacity gutter system, an ideal project for Deepflow 150 from Aliaxis UK.

The Solution

The three storey, 75-bedroom hotel was completed earlier this year. Main Contractor, Toucan Building specified Deepflow150 after consulting with its preferred supplier, Newmarket-based U Plastics, on the most suitable guttering system. Deepflow150 was chosen due to its durability and ease of installation and Marley Plumbing & Drainage also assisted with the specification, helping with the system design from drawings supplied of the roof construction.

Utilising Life4 technology, Deepflow150 uses a higher specification material to form a thin capping layer on the outside of the gutter or pipe with standard material on the inside, resulting in a more durable product. Life4 products also boast high gloss levels and longer colour retention levels than standard PVCu - particularly in relation to darker colours. This means that the black guttering and downpipes chosen for the Days Hotel will look good for many years to come.

Deepflow150 also requires fewer downpipes and drainage connections and this, coupled with the Marley Easyclip jointing system, means installation time is also reduced.

Deepflow150 has been designed to offer a high capacity system that is less obtrusive, providing a sleeker look to the roof edge.  It is ideal for small to medium commercial projects, flats and industrial applications.
