At Aliaxis UK, we’ve launched our new GPS Series 3 Boundary Box, designed to support AMP8 objectives with efficient installation and reliable maintenance.
We developed the Series 3 in close collaboration with industry professionals, drawing on expertise from across the Aliaxis Group. The result is a solution that responds directly to customer and industry calls for more adaptable, efficient, and future ready water utility infrastructure.
Our new design helps utilities achieve more efficient installation and maintenance, while supporting the roll out of smart metering at scale during AMP8.
As James Roper, our Head of Product Portfolio, explains: “Our goal with the Series 3 is to help utilities work more efficiently, reduce water loss, and maintain reliable service delivery in increasingly demanding conditions. Crucially, we’ve ensured that the Series 3 is built with long-term regulatory and operational needs in mind."
“The Series 3 is a Boundary Box evolution as we have retained many great features, such as the screw adjustable guard tube, while also listening to the needs of our customers and partners. Ease of installation, maintenance and future readiness were all identified as key priorities.”
The Series 3 features compression fittings for fast and seamless installation together with camera insertion, allowing for more efficient leak detection and diagnostics.
James continues: “We also recognised the need for greater flexibility, so the Series 3 comes with 25mm and 32mm connection options to support higher usage properties. A quarter turn isolation valve with a clear open/closed indicator helps simplify maintenance, and the easy-to-install compression fitting makes installation quicker and more straightforward for teams on the ground."
“Features such as enhanced backflow protection, provided by incorporating double check valve as standard, and compatibility with smart meters, all contribute to a future proof solution that supports water and multi-utility companies in meeting sustainability targets and regulatory expectations, as the industry looks to meet AMP8 targets.”
The GPS Series 3 Boundary Box is a fully integrated end-to-end system, when used with Protecta-Line pipes for contaminated land, which is fully BS8588-compliant, or with GPS Blue PE pipe for non-contaminated land.
